About Us
The Blackley Community Hub is safe and welcoming place. We offer practical and emotional support through weekly health and wellbeing sessions, drop-ins with access to key services, hot meals provided by our wonderful volunteers, and food provision in partnership with The Bread and Butter Thing. Our aim is to reduce barriers to support, improve health and wellbeing, and bring people together. We’d love to welcome you soon!
The Blackley Community Hub began in 2020, after E-ACT Blackley Academy carried out a survey asking parents about the needs of the local community. The response was clear: families wanted more mental health support and help with the growing challenges of the cost of living.
With the support of the Manchester Public Health Team, the school partnered with St Paul’s Church to create a space where local people could access support, connection, and opportunities. From these beginnings, the Blackley Community Hub was born.
Since then, the hub has grown into a thriving community space.
We’ve built strong partnerships with local organisations, supported volunteers, and facilitate a range of services and activities to meet the needs of the community.
Now a registered Community Interest Company (CIC), and we are proud to continue serving Blackley, bringing people together and working collectively to serve the people of Blackley.
